WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Josh Harder announced that California added 32,600 manufacturing jobs in 2021, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Rep. Harder helped Central Valley manufacturers create and restore jobs by passing the American Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. He is also working to create even more domestic manufacturing jobs by passing the America COMPETES Act which will supercharge American manufacturing and strengthen the supply chain.

WASHINGTON — Today, Representative Josh Harder announced that Divya Katyal and Rana Banankhah, both seniors from Modesto High School, have won his office's 2021 Congressional App Challenge. Their app, Community Connections, bridges the communication gap between volunteers, who would like to have conversations with seniors, and seniors, who are currently isolated and in need of someone to talk to. WASHINGTON — Today, the Harder-backed bipartisan Ocean Shipping Reform Act of 2021 passed the House of Representatives. The bill is intended to fix the dire situation at California's ports, combat China's influence over international shipping, and bring down the rapidly rising costs of consumer goods. It is the first major update of federal regulations for the global ocean shipping industry in almost 25 years.
