WASHINGTON – Continuing his mission to ensure nursing home residents in the Valley get access to vaccines promised by the federal government, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) has sent a letter to the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Rochelle Walensky asking the agency to speed up distribution and improve communication on its vaccine distribution to long term care facilities.

Modesto, CA – Thanks to the stimulus bill passed late last year, millions of dollars in federal housing support will flow to the Central Valley, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) announced today. The funding is made available through the Treasury Department's Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) – and will help people struggling to pay rent and utilities as a result of the pandemic.

WASHINGTON – Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) will continue to serve on the House Committee on Agriculture for this term in Congress after successfully obtaining a waiver from the House Steering and Policy Committee. Members of the House who are appointed to the Appropriations Committee typically serve solely on that committee. If a member wishes to serve on an additional committee, they must seek out and obtain a special waiver allowing them to serve on an additional committee.

Modesto, CA – In response to a series of mass account suspensions from the California Employment Development Department (EDD), Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) has written a letter demanding answers. Late last year, it was discovered that EDD had paid out millions of dollars in fraudulent payments. In response to those issues, the Department initiated a wave of mass suspensions which also ended up punishing innocent Californians in need of help during the pandemic. Rep. Harder has heard from dozens of constituents regarding this issue.

Modesto, CA – Today, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) announced the launch of a new COVID-19 mobile testing van for Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties – scheduled to start Monday, January 4th. Curative, one of the largest providers of oral COVID-19 testing in the country, will be launching a mobile testing unit on Monday January 4th and will serve locations across Rep. Harder's district in both Stanislaus and San Joaquin Counties. Curative offers a self-administered oral test, which uses saliva instead of a nasal swab.

The bipartisan compromise package will provide another round of economic impact payments, this time worth $600.
