WASHINGTON – Today, the House of Representatives voted to pass the Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act 2022 which will provide new and expanded medical benefits to hundreds of thousands of veterans across the country. The bill includes legislation authored by Representative Josh Harder expanding the pool of Vietnam veterans eligible for benefits due to exposure to Agent Orange.

WASHINGTON – Today, the Representative Josh Harder backed bipartisan Ocean Shipping Reform Act was signed into law by President Biden. The law will reduce costs for Valley families and businesses by helping fix the ongoing situation at California’s ports and combatting China’s influence over international shipping. It is the first major update of federal regulations for the global ocean shipping industry in almost 25 years.

WASHINGTON — Last night, Representative Josh Harder voted to pass the Water Resources Development Act of 2022 (WRDA). Rep. Harder successfully fought to include four critical Central Valley water programs in this bipartisan legislation, including $200 million for water infrastructure in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties and new requirements for the Army Corps of Engineers to protect the Delta from harmful algal blooms.

In recent weeks, 31 people have been murdered and another 20 injured in mass shootings committed with semiautomatic assault rifles, including nineteen elementary schoolers and two teachers killed in Uvalde, Texas and ten people killed in Buffalo, New York.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has approved Valley Link’s entry into the Project Development Phase of the Capital Investment Grants (CIG) Program opening the door for hundreds of millions in federal funding to support the project.
