WASHINGTON – Building on his commitment to accessibility, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) will give residents of the Central Valley another opportunity to connect with him during a live telephone town hall while he is in Washington for votes. The event will begin at about six o'clock PM Pacific and last approximately an hour. During the telephone town hall, Rep. Harder will answer questions in real-time and offer assistance to folks who need help with federal issues.

The so-called "Cadillac Tax" was initially passed into law as part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), but its implementation has been repeatedly delayed thanks to bipartisan opposition.

"One of the things that makes America exceptional is that we come from everywhere. The color of our skin does not define if we are American. Folks in the Central Valley get that – we're Portuguese and Indian – Assyrian and Mexican – we're a land of a hundred nations. That makes us stronger.

Harder Will Introduce Education Bills in Coming Weeks

WASHINGTON – Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) today questioned international experts on apprenticeship programs during a hearing in the House Education and Labor Committee. Rep. Harder is in the process of developing an education and skills package tailored to the needs of the Central Valley and developed from the input from educators and businesses on the ground. Rep. Harder will release his legislation over the coming weeks.

WASHINGTON – Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) announced that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) would invest $395,877 over the next decade to support the construction of broadband to homes and businesses across the Central Valley. Within six years, internet providers must build much-needed and long overdue internet infrastructure to provide communities with access to broadband.

"Alex Acosta has been letting sex traffickers off the hook for years – he should resign immediately. Jeffrey Epstein's is not an isolated case – Alex Acosta's Department of Labor has also taken steps to undermine federal sex trafficking investigations.

"It's 2019 – it's long past time that we hold perpetrators of sexual misconduct – and their defenders – accountable."
