Washington DC—Today, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) became a co-sponsor to H.R. 1, known as "For the People Act." This is the first piece of major legislation undertaken by the new Congress, and it is Rep. Harder's first step in keeping his promise to fight the corrupting influence of dark money, strengthen voting rights, and instill stronger codes of ethical conduct in Congress.

The For the People Act accomplishes the following:

Washington DC—Today, California Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) took a firm stand with farmers in the Central Valley by voting in favor of re-opening and funding the U.S. Department of Agriculture. This is a vital step in finally ending the pointless government shutdown and reviving crucial services that assist farmers in California and around the country.

Washington DC— Today, California Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) demanded that U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue extend the deadline for farmers seeking relief under the Market Facilitation Program—and the Secretary of Agriculture has agreed to act. Because of the government shutdown, farmers would have been unable to apply for this vital program if the deadline was not extended from its original date of January 15, 2019.
