School Reopening Plans in Chaos as Governor Orders Closures, Local Districts Scramble to Amend Plans

Modesto, CA – On Monday August 3rd at 5:15 PM – Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) will host a live telephone town hall with Stanislaus County Superintendent of Schools Scott Kuykendall to provide an update on local plans to reopen schools. Superintendent Kuykendall will provide an update on local schools at the top of the event and be available to answer questions throughout. Rep. Harder held a similar event last week with San Joaquin County Superintendent James Mousalimas which generated considerable interest among his constituents.

The event will take place on Monday, August 3rd at 5:15 PM PST. Constituents can call into the event at 1-888-886-6602.

Representative Harder, one of the most accessible members of Congress, has continued to remain available to constituents during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Since the week of March 9th, Rep. Harder has held more than a dozen public events to allow his constituents to stay in touch and get help. These events have included seven previous telephone town halls, one of which was bilingual, Facebook Live town halls, a webinar with over 300 small business owners, and a webinar with Valley farmers and agricultural business owners.
