Harder Cancels 19th In-Person Town Hall, Will Hold Telephone Town Hall on Coronavirus with Health Experts
WASHINGTON – As the result of recommendations from public health agencies, Representative Josh Harder will postpone his planned town hall in Modesto focusing on the Census on March 18th. Instead, he will hold an informational telephone town hall on the Coronavirus with Stanislaus County Public Health Officer Dr. Julie Vaishampayan and Stanislaus County Assistant Director of Emergency Services Richard Murdock so Central Valley residents can get an update on best practices for protecting their families. This will be Rep. Harder’s sixth telephone town hall since taking office in January 2019. Rep. Harder recently voted for bipartisan legislation which will fund efforts to combat the spread of the Coronavirus.
The event will take place tomorrow, March 11th from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM Pacific Time.
Constituents can call into the event at 855-269-4484 or sign up to join here. Members of the media are also invited to call in.
Representative Harder is one of the most accessible members of Congress in the country according to a report by the nonpartisan Town Hall Project. Since taking office in January, Rep. Harder has hosted 18 town halls, 20 office hours events, five telephone town halls, and a Facebook Live town hall.
