STOCKTON – Last night, Rep. Josh Harder (CA-09) joined local law enforcement and hundreds of families in National Night Out events across the Valley to thank our brave local law enforcement and celebrate community partnerships in public safety. Harder attended block parties, cookouts, and festivals in Stockton and Tracy hosted by local elected officials, neighborhood organizations, business parks, and the Stockton Ports.
“Tonight is all about neighbors looking out for neighbors and getting a better appreciation for the tireless work of local law enforcement to keep our families safe,” said Rep. Harder. “That work depends on strong community partnerships which were on full display tonight. When law enforcement and our community work together, everyone is safer - thank you to everyone who came out tonight to show their support!”
As the Valley’s federal representative and a fifth-generation resident of the area, Harder has made supporting local law enforcement a top priority. During National Police Week, he announced new bipartisan legislation to fully fund officer hiring programs, and he got his bill signed into law to protect officers from fentanyl exposure when responding to overdose calls.
