In Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Harder Launches 2nd Annual Latino Leadership Awards
WASHINGTON — In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month this September, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) is launching his second annual Latino Leadership Awards. The award will honor a member of the Latino community for their contributions to the Central Valley. Rep. Harder is inviting his constituents to nominate a Latino community member of any age or profession who has made a positive impact on the Valley. Candidates must be of Latino heritage, live in the 10th Congressional District, and have contributed to the community in a way that has inspired others.
“The Latino community is a key thread in the fabric of the Valley – we should take Hispanic Heritage Month as an opportunity to recognize the contributions of so many wonderful Latino residents,” said Rep. Harder. “I encourage anyone who would like to honor a member of the community to make a nomination.”
Constituents who wish to nominate a member of the community may fill out this form and write a 100-250-word nomination describing why this community member should be recognized. Nominations will be open to all until August 29th, 2021 and announced during Hispanic Heritage Month in September.
