Harder Votes to Pass of Pair of Bills Ensuring Women’s Access to Health Care
Harder voted to pass an updated version of the Women’s Health Protection Act and the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act
WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Josh Harder voted to pass a pair of bills ensuring women’s access to health care. The updated version of the Women’s Health Protection Act codifies the right to reproductive health care formerly guaranteed to women under Roe v. Wade, and the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act makes it possible and safe for women needing abortion care to travel to states where it is accessible.
“A woman’s health care decisions should be between her and her doctor, and no politician or Supreme Court justice should stand in the way,” said Rep. Harder. “Today I was proud to vote for two bills that will repair the damage of the Roe decision and ensure every woman has the right to control her own body.”
