Harder Votes to Pass Ukrainian Aid & Government Funding Package

March 10, 2022

Package will provide humanitarian and defense aid to Ukraine & fund US government through 2022

WASHINGTON – Late last night, Representative Josh Harder voted to pass the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2022 which will provide $13.6 billion of humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine and fund the US government through the end of 2022. The package will support food and supply deliveries to Ukrainian civilians, defense assistance to the Ukrainian armed forces, and help bolster the nation's energy grid and cyber defenses among other critical programs. Last week, Rep. Harder joined Fox40's Sonseeahray Tonsall to discuss his work on this critical aid package as well as new sanctions on the Russian oligarch's propping up the Putin regime.

The bill will also fund the US government through the end of Fiscal Year 2022. Rep. Harder's office will announce wins for Central Valley families from that government funding in the coming weeks.

"I stand with the Ukrainian people as they fight for their freedom and their democracy. Last night, I was proud to support a package that will deliver critical aid to Ukrainian civilians and military supplies to the Ukrainian armed forces," said Rep. Harder. "Vladimir Putin started this unprovoked and heart breaking war. It's time the world stood behind Ukraine and forced him to end it."
