Harder Touts New Federal Program Bringing Vaccines Directly to Valley Walmart Stores
MODESTO — Today, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) announced that the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program has begun distributing vaccines to Walmart locations across the Central Valley. The program, supported by Rep. Harder and announced by President Biden on February 2nd, uses federal resources to bring vaccines directly to hard hit communities across the country. The following retail locations are now distributing federal vaccine doses:
- Walmart – 1670 Mitchell Rd, Ceres
- Walmart – 1421 Coffee Rd, Modesto
- Walmart – 2111 Fulkerth Rd, Turlock
- Walmart – 3010 W Grant Line Rd, Tracy
“It’s not enough just to make everyone eligible for the vaccine, we need to actually get doses into the communities who need them most” said Rep. Harder. “This program will get vaccines directly to families across the Central Valley. Getting a vaccine should be as easy as picking up your groceries or filling up your gas tank, and that’s exactly what we’re pushing to make happen.”

Vaccine supply and eligibility will vary based on allocation as well as federal, state and local guidelines. The number of vaccinations will be limited and is planned to continue to increase each week. Eligible customers can schedule a vaccine appointment directly via the Walmart and Sam’s Club (membership not required) websites once appointments are available, making it convenient to get vaccinated while allocation lasts.
