Press Release
Savings include more than $2.4 million in EDD benefits alone

WASHINGTON — Today, Representative Josh Harder (CA-10) announced that his office has now saved constituents $7,008,529 in government benefits or mistaken bills from government agencies. Due to significant failures at the California Economic Development Department (EDD), Rep. Harder’s team has focused on bridging the issue by cutting through red tape and getting constituents answers.

“My job is to fight for Valley families, and I’m thrilled we’ve been able to roll up our sleeves and deliver folks the money they deserve,” said Rep. Harder. “We’ve got a long road ahead of us as we recover from this pandemic, and every dollar we bring home to our community counts. If you, a loved one, a neighbor, or a friend are dealing with bureaucratic red tape or a government issue, reach on out to my office for help.”

A partial breakdown of the number of constituents served and amount saved per government agency is listed in the table below.
