Harder Announces Military Information Night for Students Considering a Career in America’s Armed Forces

Event will feature representatives from the Navy, Air Force, Army, National Guard, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, Cal Maritime and more

WASHINGTON – Today, Representative Josh Harder announced that he will host his yearly Military Information Night on Tuesday, May 10th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Merrill F West High School in Tracy. The event will feature representatives from each of the major military academies and ROTC programs in order to answer questions for Central Valley young people interested in a career in the armed services. This event is open to all students in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties.

The event will feature representatives from the:

  • Air Force Academy;
  • Air Force ROTC;
  • Army ROTC;
  • California State University Maritime Academy (Cal Maritime);
  • Coast Guard Academy;
  • Naval Academy;
  • Navy ROTC;
  • National Guard Minutemen Scholarship/Recruiter; and
  • Merchant Marine Academy.

“On May 10th I’ll be proud to bring representatives from the Air Force, Army, Cal Maritime, Coast Guard, Navy, National Guard, and Merchant Marines to our community to talk directly to our students and families about the incredible work they do,” said Rep. Harder. “If you’re a young person considering a career in service, I hope you’ll join my office for this fantastic event.”

Time: Tabling 5:30 – 6:00 PM. Formal Presentation 6:00 – 7:30 PM.
